I can't decide on a color- what about I choose all of them? These multicolored bouquets are awesome!

Table "Numbers"

Instead of table numbers, Josh and I decided we'd use a different herb for each table. I came across these herb watercolors at meganlee's design studio on Etsy.

Unfortunately she's only made 12- hopefully we won't have more than 12 tables!

Invitations

I found this great invitation at Etsy by InvitedInk- it's a mother daughter team that does great letterpess stuff. I especially liked her use of the Berkeley, CA font! Josh and I love this font and everything about Berkeley so it would be fun to incorporate it into our wedding invitation.

inspiration: colors

After not posting on this blog for months due to the craziness of medical school, my excitment for the wedding was re-ignited when I saw pictures from this couple's wedding in Tennessee. I love the guys outfits and the colors this bride chose. And her bouquet is gorgeous!!

I just love these pictures I found online from a wedding in the Tennessee mountains.

inspiration :: invitations

I'm suddenly realizing that I won't have a lot ofime to DIY wedding invitations when medical school starts up in 4 weeks, so I'm looking at other options for invitations and save the dates. I found sarahparrot825 on Etsy, and I'm working with her to create a save the date bookmark. If I like her style and final product, perhaps she could do the invites as well?

I really like these Save the Dates from the Chic and Sophisticated Bride blog- she did them herself using the PrintPlace website. She added ribbons later to the bookmarks, but I kind of like them without.
Also, this person's wedding invitation envelopes I found on Pyeplant's Flickr are just incredible- I absolutely love the hand addressed style with the vintage stamps.

rings :: men's bands

I love these men's wedding bands from David Clay in San Francisco. My favorite ring is the one that is satin finished platinum with alternating rows of black and white diamonds. It's modern, edgy, and subtlety blingtastic.

Scalloped Wedding Dress

I love these gowns. The first is by Claire Pettibone and the second by Angel Sanchez.

Black, White, and Yellow

Lately I've become enamored with a dramatic yellow, black, and white wedding. Here are some images I found for inspiration online. What I worry is if it's too dramatic/cosmopolitan to do at an outdoor, afternoon garden wedding?

We're Getting Married at Holly Farm!

We finally picked a location: Holly Farm in Carmel, California!

Holly Farm is a gem of a location as it offers something rare: exclusive use of their entire facility for 3-5 days and the opportunity to house wedding guests overnight. Paths snake through the lush gardens of honeysuckle and jasmine. It's family owned and run and has fantastic energy. Here is what makes it so so different from other wedding venues:
  • sleeping accomodations for 22 guests (with daily maid service)
  • Ceremony site (including chairs, set-up, and take-down)
  • Reception Dinner site (including chairs, tables, heat lamps, set-up and take-down)
  • BYO alcohol
  • no cake cutting fee
  • Large kitchen and breakfast area
  • dance floor
  • lighting
  • microphone, speakers, iPod stations
  • bocce, volleyball, and ping pong
